The railway station underpass will be completely closed to all through traffic overnight from Monday, November 2, to Tuesday, November 3—approximately between 9:00 PM and 4:30 AM—due to demolition work related to the Oulu passenger railway yard improvement project. It will not be possible to pass through the underpass during this closure.
While the underpass is closed, the walking route from the Raksila direction toward the bus stops or train platforms on the city center side will become significantly longer. You can reach your destination by taking a detour via Kajaaninkatu or Saaristonkatu. Please allow plenty of extra time for your walk—at least 15 minutes.
Similarly, if you are walking from the city center side toward a bus stop on the Raksila side, please allow ample time for your journey.
Before you set off, check the OSL journey planner to find the most suitable connection and bus stop. If possible, choose a route that allows you to reach the city center or Raksila side without having to go around the underpass.
Following the demolition work, the underpass will reopen for pedestrians only, starting November 3.
