There are several beaches in the Oulu region that are easily accessible by bus—often just a short walk from the shore. Arriving by bus saves you the trouble of finding a parking spot and is also a more environmentally friendly choice.

Popular Beaches and Bus Connections

Nallikari: The terminus for line 15 is located right by the sea, just steps from the beach. Check the stop’s timetable in our route planner:

Värttö Beach: Line 9 brings you about 200 meters from the beach when you get off at the Kursutie stops. Lines 7 and 10 also take you within around 500 meters, when exiting at the Erkkola stops. Timetables in our route planner:

Tuira Beach: Buses 11, 35BK, 36, 40 and 40A take you about half a kilometer from the beach. Several other buses also stop at Merikoskenkatu, which is about a one-kilometer walk away. Timetables in our route planner:

Oulunlahti Beach: Lines 9, 50, 52A, and 63 stop at the Oulunlahti School stops, just a short walk from the beach. Timetables in our route planner:
