The municipality of Hailuoto will officially become part of the OSL area starting January 1. Customers can continue traveling on the routes between Oulu and Hailuoto as usual. All OSL tickets are valid, and the timetables remain unchanged.
The special baby carriage policy on Hailuoto routes that differs from standard OSL traffic will remain in place until the new bus line operator begins service in the summer of 2027. Passengers boarding with carriage on Hailuoto routes must have a valid ticket. The routes are operated with high-floor buses, and carriage is placed in the luggage compartment. No luggage fees are charged for baby carriage. Children under seven travel for free when accompanied by a paying customer. This policy has been in effect on Hailuoto routes at all times.
As before, Hailuoto routes will continue to appear in OSL’s route planner and schedules.
Wiimax Oy will continue as the bus line operator for Hailuoto routes. The operator will change in June 2027, at which point responsibility will transfer to Koiviston Auto Oulu Oy.
