The new public transport committee will begin its activities this month. The new chairperson of the public transport committee is Sebastian Stenfors from Oulu (NCP), and the vice-chairperson is also from Oulu, Onni-Jonatan Matilainen (Greens).
Other members
Other members representing Oulu in the public transport committee are Luukas Lohi (Centre), Pirjo Pyörälä (Centre), Saga Rasi (SDP), Ammi Ruotsalainen (Left Alliance), and Mari-Anneli Sarkkinen (NCP).
Representatives from surrounding municipalities sitting on the committee are Minna Halonen from Ii, Tuomo Perälä from Kempele, Juuso Raitio from Liminka, Kaisa Paavola from Lumijoki, Tanja Taikina-Aho from Muhos, and Esa Saarela from Tyrnävä.
In addition, Janika Harju participates in the committee meetings as a representative of the Oulu City Board.
Committee Decisions and Meeting Schedule
The public transport committee is responsible for the practical operational guidelines and decisions of OSL within the framework of funding granted by the Oulu Community Board. The Community Board decides on funding in accordance with the policies of the Oulu City Board.
The committee has 13 members. Seven members represent the city of Oulu, and the remaining six each represent their own municipality.
